Stitch Fix Review #26 + $20 Gift Card Giveaway!

Stitch Fix Review #26 + $20 Gift Card Giveaway!

I loooooved last month’s Stitch Fix box and all the pretty dresses I got. Very rarely do I return every single item that I receive, but this was one of those months. It is my fault, as I did not update my Pinterest board or write a note to my stylist.

How Stitch Fix Works

If you are not familiar with¬†Stitch Fix, you better get with the program! You pay a $20 styling fee upfront per box. You try on the clothes, keep the ones you like, return the ones you don’t. Pay for the items you keep and the $20 styling fee gets applied to that cost. Get 25% off if you buy all five items. Easy, right?! You can sign up here.

What’s In My Box This Month

This post contains my Stitch Fix affiliate links. I earn a small credit if you sign up through these links. These credits help maintain my blog and allow me to continue showing you great Fixes!

Brixon Ivy Kalu Lace Sleeve Blouse – $58

I have received a similar shirt in the past. While I love the color and style, I do not show my arms very much. And it would be a sin to cover up that beautiful lace with a cardigan! I could not justify spending the money when I know I would just not be comfortable wearing it. However, I think it is a gorgeous shirt and you should add it to your Pinterest board!

American Able Bexlee Cross Front Knit Top – $32

When will women’s clothing be made with fabric that isn’t transparent? I don’t really wear white, but I love the cross detail. Maybe if it was in another color. I just prefer to NOT have to wear another shirt underneath.

Napean Sea Rd Foley One Pocket Top – $58

I am all about a plaid shirt and my comfy boots. But this shirt fit all wrong. The hem at the shoulder made me looks so broad and the arms were a little long. Weird.

Colette Chavez Pop Color Cuff Knit Top – $48

This was the most interesting item in my box and I probably would have kept it if the cuffs were a different color. I hate chartreuse. lol

DL1961 Azalia Skinny Jean – $148

This didn’t fit, so I returned them, but I’m not sure I would have kept them had they fit. I’ve never paid over $100 jeans, and even that seems pricey to me. But they seemed high quality.

So that’s my Stitch Fix review! Even thought I didn’t keep anything this month, I look forward to my next fix and my wallet thanks me. ūüôā

My last fix was all about moving to Albuquerque. Now, spring is in the air and for my 24th Stitch Fix box, I requested springy tops. I was styled by Blake Lindsey, who really made an effort to fulfill my requests for long shirts that weren’t tunics. Let’s see how she did. ūüôā

Napean Sea Rd. Minnie Button Front Blouse – $54 [Return]

Napean Sea Rd. Minnie Button Front Blouse

I told myself I would regret returning this shirt, and I’m still torn! The color is lighter than I normally go, and the sleeves are shorter than I normally like, but it fit so well! It was very comfortable and the buttons didn’t create a gap at the chest.

Kut From The Kloth Lonnie Frayed Cuff Denim Short – $68 [Return]

Kut From The Kloth Lonnie Frayed Cuff Denim Short

Unfortunately, I do not wear shorts. Ever. Yes, I’m that self-conscious about my legs. I wore shorts once on a trip to Puerto Rico because it was necessary. However, I probably haven’t worn shorts regularly since high school! Yikes!

Kaileigh Deda Knit Dress – $48 [Return]

Kaileigh Deda Knit Dress

This dress was VERY comfortable and I love the length. I also love the longer sleeves. Ultimately, I decided to return it because I just don’t wear dresses casually.

Market & Spruce Kenzi Elbow Sleeve Knit Top – $54 [KEEP]

Market & Spruce Kenzi Elbow Sleeve Knit Top

The length, the sleeves, the color. Yes, yes, and yes. I am so happy with this top! I have been in such dire need of casual shirts that aren’t graphic tees. Now I can be cute and comfortable.

41Hawthorn Noland Henley Blouse – $58 [Return]

41Hawthorn Noland Henley Blouse

While I love this style blouse, this pattern is not for me.

So that was my fix!¬†I love that everything had “long” short sleeves and was super comfortable. Even though I only kept one item, I was really happy with this month’s fix!

Stitch Fix Review (#23) + $20 Gift Card Giveaway!

Stitch Fix Review (#23) + $20 Gift Card Giveaway!

This is my first fix as an Albuquerquean. (Say that 10 times fast.) I requested a box full of southwestern flare so I could fit in and look like a true New Mexican. Sonia, my awesome stylist for my last few boxes, was not available, so Michelle styled me. I have to admit that when I see my Stitch Fix has shipped, I act like I’m checking out so I can peek at my box. #SorryNotSorry After peeking, I was not too sure this was the box I requested, but I always wait until my box arrives to pass judgment.

After reading the note from my stylist, this WAS the southwestern style box I requested. Let’s see what’s inside!

Kut From the Kloth Rose Bootcut Pant – $78 [Return]

I love me a good KFTK pair of pants. They are so COMFORTABLE! But ummm…I made an oops. I moved to Albuquerque, where I am not working from home (aka no longer in an office), and I forgot to update my profile. *facepalm* Emily! Yep, I still had in there that I prefer professional clothing. Getting a pair of trousers hemmed that I don’t really need in the first place didn’t really sound that appealing, so I returned them. But I definitely would have kept them if I was still working in an office. I might have kept these pants if they were shorter, but they were sooo long. I had to wear my highest heels and they still almost touched the ground.

I normally don’t show my feet in pictures (or wear shoes at all for that matter), but since I have moved, I have a bigger and brighter space to take pictures! But this is now one of the few times I wear heels. I converted to flats for everyday wear awhile ago. I love heels, but they don’t love me. My poor feet have been tortured for years. Now that I’m in my old age (32), I am wiser and am protecting my feet with AirPlus cushions and liners.

They have different inserts, cushions, and liners for your different needs. When I wear really high heels, I need the Ball-of-Feet cushions. When I am breaking in new flats, I need the Hug My Heels liners. They are so comfortable!

Okay, I went on a tangent. Back to the Fix!

Brixon Ivy Jarred Lace Detail Cap-Sleeve Blouse – $58 [Return]

This blouse is BEAUTIFUL! I love the color and the lace detail. I returned this because I am not yet ready to show off my arms. (C’mon BeachBody!) I normally throw a cardigan on over sleeveless shirts, but it would be a sin to cover up the back of this shirt.

How gorgeous is that?!

Alice Blue Fieres Cold Shoulder Blouse – $58 [Return]

I don’t usually go for cold shoulder shirts, but this one was so flattering! I loved the sheer, poofy sleeves. I would have kept it, except that I could not for the life of me get the straps to stay up! They are adjustable, which is great, but I could not find the sweet spot. I think that the straps in the front are attached to close to the sleeve, and need to be attached closer to the middle.

Kut From the Kloth Simmons Bootcut Jean – $88 [Keep]

These jeans are to die for! They feel wider than most bootcut jeans, which is perfect for summer and wedges! I love these jeans! So comfortable! Keeper!

Brixon Ivy Sylvester Split Neck Blouse – $54 [Return]

While I love the color and style of this blouse, it was a little snug in the arms. Stupid arms. I have been working out and hopefully I won’t have this problem much longer. But I never justify buying clothes for “when they fit one day.”

So that was my fix! While it was not quite the southwestern style I was looking for, it had some very pretty pieces. What did you think? I am very excited to be able to share better pictures now that I have better lighting and more space. Next month’s fix will be even better because I bought a GIANT mirror! I am excited to style WHOLE outfits for you.

Stitch Fix #22 Review: Birthday Fix + $20 Gift Card Giveaway!

Stitch Fix #22 Review: Birthday Fix + $20 Gift Card Giveaway!

Happy Birthday to Me! Happy Birthday to Me! Happy Birthday to MEEEEeeee. Happy Birthday to Me!

Ok, that was a little overboard. I can’t help it, I love my birthday. Like, a LOT. As in, celebrate all month. Yeah, I’m THAT person. Saturday is the big day and I turn 32. Or as I like to say, it’s the 11th anniversary of my 21st birthday. I love all the birthday freebies and surprises. I usually like to be in control, but my birthday is one of the few times I let fate take over and just roll with it. That’s why, for this¬†fix, I asked my stylist to surprise me! And boy, did Sonia deliver! She has only styled me a few times, but it’s like she KNOWS me.

If you are not familiar with¬†Stitch Fix, you better get with the program!¬†It costs $20 per box, which covers the styling fee. You try on the clothes, keep the ones you like, return the ones you don’t. Pay for the items you keep and the $20 styling fee gets applied to that cost. Get 25% off if you buy all five items. By the way, this fix included a Golden Ticket. If you scheduled a fix in December, you received a Golden Ticket to scratch off for a chance to win a $5,000 gift card!! Did I win? You’ll have to read to the end of the post to find out!

Ok, let’s dive in! Admittedly, I peek at my fix when it ships, and I was very excited for it to arrive!

Amour Vert Tabitha Ribbed Raglan Pullover Р$74 [KEEP]
Rune Glynn Faux Leather Detail Moto Legging – $58 [KEEP]
Diba Joyce Buckle Moto Bootie – $95 [Return]

I’m a sucker for a comfy sweater, especially when it has been so cold here in Denver. I realized a while ago that I can’t stop adding black to my closet! I used to be a brown girl, but now I prefer black. This sweater was just a tad longer in back than it is in front, which was perfect for covering the bootay. Sonia suggested that I pair it with a studded purse that I kept from a previous fix to add a pop of color. She’s so smart. I never would have thought of that, and this is why I have a stylist.

The moto leggings are amazing. I thought I had enough leggings, as I really don’t need more than two. Apparently adding detail to leggings makes them SO much different, that I HAD to keep these! I swear it’s my last pair!

The booties were perfect for these leggings, but they were a little snug on my feet. That surprised me, as the reason I love Diba boots is they usually fit my wide feet. If I size up, they would be too long, so sadly I sent these back. I am still on the hunt for black booties.

Papermoon Heather Lace Detail Blouse Р$48 [Return]
Margaret M Christiana Pencil Skirt – $78 [Keep]

Sonia did a great job sending me this navy blouse with beautiful v-neck detail. Unfortunately, it was too tight in ¬†the arms. Darn my flabby arms. I didn’t want to exchange it for a larger size (which you can do now at checkout), because then it would be too big everywhere else.

But this skirt is everything! I have had it pinned on my Pinterest style board for what seems like an eternity, and I finally received it! And it’s purple!

It’s also stretchy to fit my curves. I can’t wait for warmer weather to wear it!

Now about that scratch card…

Dang! Not an instant winner. But I still have a chance at a $5,000 gift card!

So that was my fix! What did you think?

I had Sonia style me again this month.¬†I asked for comfy sweaters, because who doesn’t love comfy sweaters in Fall and Winter!

Olive & Oak Baldwin Pullover Sweater Р$68 [KEEP]

olive-oak-baldwin-pullover-sweater

I’ve been wishing and looking for a top that is this green color, just for Fall, and I finally have the perfect piece! This sweater is sooo comfortable. I love how is splits on the sides and is just a tad longer in the back. Perfect for big booty girls like me.

olive-oak-baldwin-pullover-sweater-side

Glamorous Reese Studded Saddle Bag – $48 [KEEP]

glamorous-reese-studded-saddle-bag

I have only received a bag in my fix a couple of times and have never really been satisfied. I was pleasantly surprised with this saddle bag. I think it is the studs that did it for me. Or the fact that it is crossbody. Add some booties and my outfit will be complete!

RD Style Calandri Contrast Sleeve Poncho Р$68 [KEEP]

rd-style-calandri-contrast-sleeve-poncho-side

I pinned this poncho on Pinterest and I was so excited to receive it!! I had seen mixed reviews about it, but the majority of them seemed to be that most people needed to size down. Well I think it is absolutely perfect. It is long in back which means I can wear it with leggings. The one thing that surprised me is the black sleeves don’t go all the way to the top of the sweater, they stop at the gray part. But that just means it doesn’t get super hot under there. I can wear a tank underneath and be totally comfortable. I love this poncho!

3/3 so far! Man, I wish I had a Stitch Fix gift card. Luckily, it’s almost Christmas and Santa will hopefully be bringing me a Stitch Fix gift card.

Market & Spruce Mainy Pullover Sweater Р$68 [Return]

market-spruce-mainy-pullover-sweater

I am having all the regrets over returning this sweater! I don’t do polka dots. It’s just not my style. But I love the color block, my boyfriend loved it, and this is the softest sweater I’ve ever tried on. And it is thick, which is hard to find. It is starting to grow on me. At the time, I just didn’t think I would ever reach for it. *sigh*

Edyson Hampton Corduroy Skinny Jean Р$68 [Return]

edyson-hampton-corduroy-skinny-jean

I do not have any corduroy pants, so I was open to the idea of having a pair. A step above casual, yet still comfortable! But I still have not warmed up to colored pants. I have a pair of gray jeans, and that is about as adventurous as I get. Also, these pants were dirty and had something crusty on the backside!

edyson-hampton-corduroy-skinny-jean-butt

So that was my fix! What did you think?

I think my wallet would have preferred I not spend as much. If you love Stitch Fix or you know someone who does, gift cards are always greatly appreciated!  Order before 12/14 to receive by 12/24. Or you can send by email or print them.

I had a new stylist this month, Sonia. In her note, she mentions my love of Fall and the color burgundy, which is exactly what I wanted to see!

Market & Spruce Iverson Weave Stitched Poncho – $78 [Return]

market-spruce-iverson-weave-stitched-poncho

When I looked at the product card before I took the clothes out of the box, I was really excited for this poncho. But then I put it on and was sadly disappointed. The picture made it look much darker than it is in person. It looks much more polka dot-ty in real life.

market-spruce-iverson-weave-stitched-poncho-arm

AND, these sleeves are ridiculous. They are connected to the bottom of the poncho so you can’t lift up your arms without exposing everything underneath.

market-spruce-iverson-weave-stitched-poncho-arm-up

LOL No thanks!

Just Black Amira High Rise Ankle Zip Skinny Jean – $78 [Return]

just-black-amira-high-rise-ankle-zip-skinny-jean

I really loved this zipper detail on these jeans!! However, I just bought another pair of KFTK skinny jeans on Amazon and I couldn’t justify another expensive pair of skinny jeans.

Brixon Ivy Petey Beaded Cable Front Pullover – $78 [KEEP]

brixon-ivy-petey-beaded-cable-front-pullover

I don’t really consider a black sweater with sparkles on it a fall-ish sweater, it is more winter in my opinion. But I don’t care because I LOVE THIS SWEATER SO FREAKING MUCH!! Winter is the hardest season for me to shop for. I don’t know why. I just don’t have a lot of cute winter, Christmas-y clothes. But this is PERFECT!

Daniel Rann Kieran Lace Overlay Blouse – $74 [Return]

daniel-rann-kieran-lace-overlay-blouse

Not. One. Burgundy. Piece. In. My. Fix.

After reading the note, I was so excited for burgundy! This was the closest thing. It’s red. Actually the light in this makes it appear more red than it was, but it was still red. This is a shirt I pinned, however the pinned image didn’t have the leafy detail on it. It was plain. Here is the image I pinned.

daniel-rainn

That is more purple, but closer to burgundy in my mind. It is so sleek and professional. That extra pattern ruins the blouse for me.

And it’s sleeveless. I get the concept of wearing it under a cardigan or blazer, but I am the world’s coldest person. As I type, my fingers are stiff because they are so cold. I need warmth in fall. Long sleeves, sweaters, etc.

Kensie Rebekah Stretch Crepe Blazer – $88 [Return]

kensie-rebekah-stretch-crepe-blazer

After I sent this blazer back after receiving it in my second Fix, I bought it in a Facebook group. This time they sent it in black, but I returned it because I don’t need it in two colors.

So that was my fix! What did you think?

Emily styled me again this month. In her note, she talked about noticing my desire for Fall, and she included pieces to help transition!

Market & Spruce Galapagos Cross Bar Dolman Knit Top Р$54

Market & Spruce Galapagos Cross Bar Dolman Knit Top Back

I’m a sucker for dolman tops. I think they are flattering for my figure and hide my problem areas. I love this bar across the back. It stand out and I can wear my hair in a cute pony to accentuate it.

Market & Spruce Galapagos Cross Bar Dolman Knit Top

Market & Spruce Colibri Plaid Printed Tab-Sleeve Shirt Р$48

Market and Spruce Colibri Plaid Printed Tab-Sleeve Shirt

This¬†shirt was pinned on my Pinterest board because I am a sucker for plaid! It is just a tad tight in the chest for me, but not enough that sizing up would be a better option. However, you no longer need to return items that don’t fit. If you love it, you can now EXCHANGE for a different size!

Collective Concepts Miguel Swiss Dot Detail Blouse Р$58

I love the style of the sleeves on this shirt and the color. I think both are very flattering and it makes the shirt fit very well. I am not in love with the dot detail, but kept this shirt to get the 25% discount for keeping all items!

Market & Spruce Evella Boatneck Top Р$64

Market and Spruce Evella Boatneck Top

I love the look of layers, but actually layering is not always comfortable. That is why I love this top that gives the illusion of layers. The material is very soft, thick and stretchy. Perfect for fall!

Kut From The Kloth Elyse Slim Straight Leg Pant Р$88

kut from the kloth trouser skinny

These are not your typical KFTK pants. They are not denim, but trouser material. Stretchy at the same time! So you can wear them casually or dress them up. First, I love this dark green color. Perfect for Fall! They are long, so can be scrunched or rolled up. Also, these were made exclusively for Stitch Fix! That’s right, you can’t get them anywhere else.

For this fix, I asked for solids. Call me boring, but I’m a huge fan of solids. I’m pretty picky about patterns. Let’s see how my stylist did this month.

Market & Spruce  Ezide Textured Print Top Р$58 [RETURN]

Market & Spruce Ezide Textured Print Top - Stitch Fix

My stylists know I love navy and this shirt is no exception. I was wary of the pattern and first but it started to grow on me. The shirt fit very well and was very comfortable. Ultimately I returned it because my budget is smaller this month.

Market & Spruce Dollie Tie Back Neck Knit Top Р$54 [RETURN]

Market & Spruce Dollie Tie Back Neck Knit Top - Stitch Fix

This top almost felt like a sweater, which made me excited for Fall! I think I can get away with wearing this shade of pink and the top was comfortable. However, I was not too keen on the back of the shirt. The tie back is cute, but the material was loose and baggy, which I did not find flattering.

Pixley Bexhill Lasercut Faux Suede Knit Top Р$58 [RETURN]

Pixley Bexhill Lasercut Faux Suede Knit Top - Stitch Fix

This shirt was very interesting. The cutouts and faux suede made me think of western fashion. All I need are cowboy boots and a hat! I really do like the style, but I don’t think I can wear this color.

Skies are Blue McClain Crochet Panel Knit Top Р$54 [RETURN]

Skies are Blue McClain Crochet Panel Knit Top - Stitch Fix

I usually end up with one regret and this is it! I love this color blue. It is so vibrant. This top is so pretty and fit perfectly. Crochet is usually hit or miss for me, but this one is a hit. I still was not able to keep it because of my budget. So let me introduce you to the item that I did keep!

Gilli Mitchel Knit Maxi Dress Р$78 [KEEP]

Gilli Mithcel Knit Maxi Dress - Stitch Fix

I was bummed that the maxi dress in my last fix didn’t work out, but my stylist didn’t give up! She sent me another Gilli dress, and this one was much better! I am still going a little outside of my comfort zone. I don’t wear geometric patterns much, and the back of it does have a slit that shows my back. I was unsure, but I showed pictures to my boyfriend and he loved it.

Daniel Rainn Tolley Mixed Print Top Р$68 [RETURN]

Daniel Rainn Tolley Mixed Print Top - Stitch Fix

This shirt is very similar to a shirt I kept from a previous fix, as my stylist, Emily, noted. That last shirt I decided was not for me after keeping it. I wish there was an option to update what items you kept, since sometimes 3 days is not enough to decide if I really love something or if I will wear it.

Papermoon Bellini Kimono Р$38 [RETURN]

Papermoon Bellini Kimono - Stitch Fix

Kimonos are a clothing item that are great in theory, but just don’t work out for me. I end up looking like I’m drowning. Which is sad, because I love the price on this piece. They are so lightweight and perfect for a hot day when you still want coverage.

Papermoon Bellini Kimono Sleeve - Stitch Fix

I do have to say that I absolutely love the colors and think this kimono is so beautiful! That made it hard to return it. But ultimately, if an item doesn’t fit me right, I know I won’t wear it. You can see here how it is not flat in the back and sticks out.

I probably should have kept this just to save my $20 styling fee. Oh well.

Pixley Eileen Honeycomb Texture Knit Tank - Stitch Fix

Before I even looked at the name of this shirt, I tried it on and thought “I look like a honeycomb!” lol No, thanks. However, this material is to die for. SO SOFT! And it is longer in the back, which is my favorite. And it is navy, which is my other favorite. But I can’t get over this busy pattern.

Papermoon Jehna Woven Back Knit Top Р$44 [RETURN]

I love the back of this shirt! Very bright colors for spring/summer. But the wrong of this shirt looks a plain white t-shirt. I think if it was yellow or another color, it would pop. But I wasn’t sure what to do with the front of the shirt. I guess a fun necklace could help. I can’t wear a colored cardigan over it because that would hide the back of it.

Gilli Shay Maxi Dress Р$78 [RETURN]

Gilli Shay Maxi Dress - Stitch Fix

I was really excited to receive a maxi dress to try on! First, this top is perfect. It has sleeves, it is comfortable, and no cleavage. Win win win! It’s the bottom part that had me hemming and hawing over whether I wanted to keep this or not. I think if the top part was a little bit longer it would have looked better in my mind. I wasn’t 100% in love with the pattern either, although I do love the colors!
