Columbia Crest Crowdsourced Cabernet and Executive Crowdsourcing Officer Voting

Columbia Crest Crowdsourced Cabernet and Executive Crowdsourcing Officer Voting

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Columbia Crest. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Wine Dinner Party

I love to have dinner parties and throw parties to enjoy quality time with friends, and it never fails that they bring me a great new wine every time. I have acquired quite the collection. I actually remember who gave me each bottle. I love keeping the bottles because they remind me of the good times I’ve had, and I love to reminisce. How do you capture that perfect aurora of a dinner party or the fun spirit of a wedding celebration?  I sometimes wish I could put some of my favorite flavors and notes into one fantastic bottle so I can relive those memories!

Columbia Crest has conjured up a one-of-a-kind wine with its Crowdsourced Cabernet, and is seeking an Executive Crowdsourcing Officer who will travel to Columbia Crest and oversee the finishing touches of this public made and manufactured wine. That’s right, this wine is created entirely through the public voting on how it should be made. In this digital age of social media, more and more people are able to have their voices and ideas heard. Take part in the Executive Crowdsourcing Officer voting and be a party of wine history!

Since 2014, Columbia Crest has been leading the way with crowdsourcing a wine from vineyard to table. So how does crowdsourcing a wine work? Anyone (casual drinkers like me to wine aficionados) vote on how the grapes were tendered, irrigated, harvested and blended through weekly votes on CrowdsourcedCabernet.com. Voters had access to weather analytics, season-by-season data, past data and time-lapse camera shots down to the individual grape along with expert advice from Columbia Crest head winemaker Juan Muñoz-Oca. Sounds like they have it down to a science!

Wine Glass

Now, the Crowdsourced Cabernet 2014 vintage is aging in barrels, while Columbia Crest seeks its first ever Executive Crowdsourcing Officer. So what is an Executive Crowdsourcing Officer? The ECO will serve as an ambassador for the online crowdsourcing community, travel to Columbia Crest Winery and work alongside head winemaker Juan Muñoz-Oca to help create the 2015 vintage. The position is open to anyone, and YOU have the opportunity to weigh in on the position by voting for the ECO. But hurry! Voting ends on August 24 . Besides a fancy title and a trip to the winery, the winner also receives a $2,500 prize and more. And in true social media fashion, their experience will be filmed so that the rest of the voters can follow along as they receive a rare behind the scenes look at how wine is really made.

I love wine and I love innovative projects such as the Crowdsourced Cabernet. Columbia Crest has narrowed down the submissions to two finalists. It only takes a few minutes to watch the video submissions and vote. I just did and it was a tough choice! I can’t wait to see the final results.  VOTE NOW!

I am not much of a wine drinker, but there is a few I will drink. This one sounds really good. Thanks for the information and the post.
