Espresso Tiramisu Recipe

Ingredients
- 0.68 mascarpone kg
- 1 tbsp instant espresso powder
- 2 tsp instant espresso powder
- 177 ml confectioners’ sugar
- 59 ml cup marsala
- 177 ml chilled heavy cream
- 147 ml water
- unsweetened cocoa
- 1 butter pound cake
Directions
- Mix the mascarpone cheese, a cup of the confectioner’s sugar, and the Marsala using an electric mixer until it becomes well blended.
- Add the cream and beat until it becomes fluffy. Set the mixture aside.
- Mix the water, the remaining confectioners’ sugar and the espresso powder.
- Heat the mixture until it boils. Make sure you stir occasionally.Once it boils, remove from the heat and let it cool.
- Cut the cake crosswise into slices that are 1 cm thick.
- Arrange the cake slices to cover the bottom of the dish in a single layer. Add trimmings in between if needed so it completely covers the bottom of the container.
- Start brushing the espresso syrup that you made over the slices. Then spread the cheese over it.
- Place the rest of the cake slices in a single layer to cover the top.
- Brush the rest of the espresso syrup over the top and then spread the remaining cheese.
- Cover with a wrap and then place in a refrigerator for 2 days.
- Before serving, sift cocoa on the top.
