It’s official!!! I will be participating in The Color Run in Denver on August 2!! This is a BIG deal for me because I have never run in my adult life. Ever. I don’t mean I haven’t done races. I haven’t run. Period. Last year, I supported my friends in The Color Run and it looked like everyone was having a great time! So I decided as part of my 30 Before 30 (a sort of bucket list before turning 30), I was going to participate in a 5K. I have started training with a couch to 5k app and it’s going great!
Are YOU ready to have the time of your life? 5k races don’t have to be boring! The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique race that celebrates health, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community. The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. The fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic “Color Festival,” using more colored powder to create happiness and lasting memories, not to mention millions of vivid color combinations. This is the best post-5k party on the planet!
