Happy Birthday, Boyfriend!

I am 98% sure that my boyfriend doesn’t read my blog. So I’m writing this with confidence that none of you will tell on me! You see, he doesn’t like attention and would probably kill me for writing about him. I promise not to divulge too many details, but on this day, his birthday, I have to share my joy and appreciation for him!

I have known my boyfriend for 9 years now. We have not dated the whole time, but I have cared for him deeply ever since I met him and am so lucky to have him. He does not make a big deal out of birthdays, but I am the kind of person that celebrates the whole month! I wanted to do something very special for him, which usually means doing many little things.

We have a long distance relationship, so I see him only for a weekend at a time. While today is his actual birthday, we will be celebrating this weekend, starting with the Great American Beer Festival in Denver on Friday! Getting tickets was difficult but I got lucky. I had 3 people in my office trying at the same time and we got them!

We love Fall so I also plan on taking him to Anderson Farms for some corn maze fun, pumpkins, apple cider, and more. We will also head into the mountains to enjoy the foliage and eat some Beau Jo’s pizza.

I am really bad at giving gifts that are tangible things. I would rather have an experience with someone, so it’s hard for me to think of things to give.
