When you’re spending Valentine’s Day at home, it’s not just about the person you’re around. It’s also about how you feel inside. You can have an absolutely wonderful time with your significant other or even by yourself.

Here Are Some Things To Think About That Will Maximize Your Fun And Minimize Any Potential For Discomfort During Your Day At Home:
Food First
Think about what kind of foods you like to eat on a day-to-day basis and prepare those foods in a way that is festive or romantic. If there is something you really enjoy but haven’t had in years, try including it! The only thing better than enjoying an amazing meal while sitting down across from someone special is enjoying an amazing meal while sitting down across from someone special while wearing a festive outfit.
Food is always a good option for Valentine’s Day because it’s quick, easy, and romantic. Consider making heart-shaped pizzas together (you can find ready-made dough at many grocery stores now) or putting strawberry milk in champagne glasses to make mimosas! These sorts of activities will take the both of you out of your comfort zone, which is absolutely necessary for any relationship to be healthy. Try to push yourself past your perceived boundaries instead of accepting things as they’ve always been done before.
Flowers
If you’re not able to get fresh flowers for your home, consider filling the room with faux ones! You can find some that are made very well these days that look nearly identical to real ones. Enjoy their beauty while they last, then use them in crafts after the day is over. For example, fill up a vase with water and food coloring so when your date comes, you can put two or three roses of different colors in there. Then, when it’s time for them to leave, place one more rose in there using the same color scheme so they’ll have an ornament to take home!
Play Music All Day Long!
Put on romantic songs from the start of your date through your entire meal and into the night. Consider making a playlist of all your favorite songs that can be played at any time in order to add a sense of excitement when you’re both feeling comfortable. It’s really easy to lose track of time when you’re having fun with someone, so setting an alarm for two hours from when you started will keep things from getting too carried away.
End The Evening On A High Note
At the end of the night, consider taking a nice long splash in a hot tub but be sure to hire hot tub maintenance a day or two in advance or give your date a really nice foot massage. You can use some scented lotion or give them a hot towel to put on their feet before they sit down. This will make them feel extra relaxed and pampered as they head home for the night, which they’ll love you for!
