Marie Callender’s Comforts from Home Project

Marie Callender’s creates homemade meals and desserts made with high-quality ingredients and signature special touches that your family can slow down and savor together. This fall, Marie’s will launch the Comforts from Home Project by bringing the comforts of home to those who protect America’s homes every day: the brave men and women of the U.S. military. I have talked before about how much the military means to me personally and I take an active role in supporting those who serve our country by doing things such as donating to the USO and sending care packages.

Although I was never in the service, I have moved away from my family and I know how a little reminder of home can bring a lot of comfort. My comforts of home are pictures of my family, a blanket that was crocheted by my great-grandma, and Christmas decorations. The holidays are the best times with my family and my mom loves to decorate every inch of the house. These simple items help ease the pain of being far from home.

The Comforts from Home Project will also welcome one special soldier back to her/his family in a national television event “A Hero’s Welcome” airing on November 11, 2014 across a range of your favorite networks including HGTV, Food Network and the Cooking Channel. Tune-in as Marie Callender’s, the USO and an army of experts from food, home and travel provide the comforts of home as only Marie’s can, in a truly heartwarming homecoming you’ll always remember.

Visit ComfortsfromHome.com to learn more about how you can join Marie’s in helping to bring a little bit of home sweet home to our U.S. service men and women overseas.
