I have always wanted to try one of these Prize Candles. I have loved finding treasure every since I was a little kid. I was mesmerized by pirate stories and finding hidden treasure. This isn’t exactly a buried treasure chest, but in a way is very similar! The Original Prize Candle has a prize hidden in every candle. You have to burn the candle in order to get to the prize. The prize is a ring that is worth between $10 and $5,000!
I received a Prize Candle with the scent “Adriatic Fig.” While I was tempted to just sit and watch the candle burn, I walked away as soon as I lit it to occupy my time. I had to do something to make the time go quickly as I was very excited to see what was in my candle. The scent was very nice and is definitely something I would burn in my bathroom or living room.
Well after 45 minutes, I found out that I had gotten lucky and my prize was very close to the surface! I couldn’t wait to get it out, so I blew out the candle and used a butter knife to loosen the rest of the wax around the prize.
I was very happy to see that the prize wasn’t just in the wax, but wrapped in a bag which was inside a plastic case. It was very well protected. Now for the big reveal! What did I get?
What luck! My birthstone is garnet so I was pleased to pull this ring out of the bag. But how do I know what it’s worth? After looking at the ring, I didn’t see any markings and in my own opinion it looked cheaper than some nice rings I have. Prize Candle thought of everything and include a piece of paper with each ring with a prize code. You visit their website at PrizeCandle.com and enter the code to see what your ring is worth. Now the moment of truth. My ring is worth …
I had so much fun burning my candle and digging out my treasure. I can’t wait to get another candle.

August 12, 2014 at 10:14 am (8 years ago)I want to try one too. I won one at Christmas time and was excited, but…it was Christmas time, lol, so I gifted it instead of keeping it. A prize candle is a great gift idea!
