Stitch Fix #12 Review + A $20 Gift Card Giveaway
My note to my stylist this month stated that I wanted long sleeve shirts, because it’s still so cold here in Denver! Britt styled me again this month. If you are not familiar with Stitch Fix, I strongly urge you to give it a try and check out my last Fix! It costs $20 per box, which covers the styling fee. You try on the clothes, keep the ones you like, return the ones you don’t. Pay for the items you keep and the $20 styling fee gets applied to that cost. Get 25% off if you buy all five items. Easy, right?! You can sign up here.
Now I have to admit that I peek. When you get a notification that your Fix has shipped, the link to checkout shows up online. If you click this link, all the items they sent you are listed (no pictures unless you have the iPhone app) with prices. I always search the internet for the items because I HAVE to know. What I have found is that first impressions are not always right. I might be disappointed after I peek, but after I try on the clothes my attitude does a 180. I had trouble finding most of these items online, so it was a complete surprise. Let’s see how they did!
Loveappella Dito Funnel Neck Pullover Knit Top – $64 [KEEP]
I loved this sweater as soon as I saw it. But I always get nervous because I always have problems with sleeves. I have larger upper arms and usually sleeves are tight if it fits me everywhere else. This sweater fit PERFECTLY! I love the small cowl neck as well. The drawstring adds a nice detail.
It is so comfortable. It looks great with jeans and my Vans. I love this casual sweater.
Papermoon Marisol Mixed Material 3/4 Sleeve Knit Top – $48 [KEEP]
I’m really digging the mixed material shirts. I kept the floral one in my last fix and I’m keeping this one! I love them because sometimes all-over pattern is just too much. This touch of pattern on one side is perfect in my opinion.
The front part of this shirt is denim in color but is so soft.
Dear John Marson Wide Leg Denim Trouser – $78 [RETURN]
I love the look of wide leg jeans. It is hard for me to find jeans that fit, as I’m pretty curvy. I’m blessed in the butt area. Ha! So when jeans feel like buttah, I melt. I did not want to take these jeans off. They felt so good on my bottom!
I ultimately decided to return them for a few reasons. I wasn’t happy with the length. For wide leg or flare jeans, I prefer longer jeans so that they almost totally cover my shoes. These looked bunched on the top of the foot.
Also, as soon as I unboxed them, I found these awesome little snags. Now I am certain that had I decided to keep these, Stitch Fix would have sent me an undamaged pair because their Customer Service is stellar. But I still don’t love them because of the length.
Papermoon Tille Embroidery Detail Knit Top – $54 [KEEP]
Here is a classic example of don’t judge a Stitch Fix piece until you try it on. I saw this pattern and stuck my tongue out. Then I tried it on. I think what sold it is how soft the material is. Softest shirt ever! So I checked out the tag. Hand wash only. Hmm.
So I asked for my man’s opinion. He’s always the decision maker when I’m fighting with myself. I got the thumbs up from him so I kept it. The more I look at it, the more I like it.
41Hawthorn Zappo Printed Mixed Material Top – $58 [RETURN]
Oh that color. I laughed out loud. It’s just awful on me. I’m also pretty sure I returned this exact shirt, but it was sleeveless and in a different colors. I highly dislike that pattern!
But, it was very comfy and fit perfectly. But I feel like cotton candy in this shirt.
So that was my fix! What did you think?
