Stitch Fix #7 Review – October 2015
What is Stitch Fix? It’s pretty simple. Stitch Fix is a monthly subscription styling service. It costs $20 per box, which covers the styling fee. You try on the clothes, keep the ones you like, return the ones you don’t. Pay for the items you keep and the $20 styling fee gets applied to that cost. Easy, right?! You can sign up here.
When this box shows up on my doorstep, I want to bust out into a musical number and dance around.
Your Stitch Fix stylist includes a styling card to show how you can wear each item, and a personalized note just for you.
I actually skipped a September box because I wanted to save money and enjoy a few Fall boxes, since that is my favorite season and I love sweaters. I had the same stylist, Brookelyn, that I have had for the last few boxes.
Mavi Folwell Henley Knit Top – $48 [KEEP]
I asked for items that were great for Fall, and this is exactly what I had in mind!
This shirt is great alone or with layers. It is sooo comfortable.
Skies are Blue Lusy Embroidered Detail Knit Top – $54 [Return]
My stylish knows that navy is my go to color, so she included this shirt. I love the 3/4 sleeves but that pattern is not my taste.
I don’t think I have a rational reason for disliking it. It’s just that it reminds me of the matching pajamas my sister and I wore for Christmas when we were little girls.
Loveappela Gatspy Fitted Knit Top – $54 [Return]
I know that burgundy is the hot color this fall and I really wanted this shirt to work. It would look great with a pencil skirt for work. However, as you can see in the picture, one of the seams in the shoulders was flawed and created a pointed look. I just knew I couldn’t live with that.
Market & Spruce Ivanna Cowl Neck Sweater – $78 [Return]
I’m addicted to sweaters and this one was so soft. I loved it but it was a little tight around the hips. It doesn’t really stretch at the bottom.
RD Style Angus Split Back Mixed Material Sweater – $68 [KEEP]
I admit that I “peek” at my box before it arrives. Meaning that when I receive the shipping notice, I click on “checkout” to see what is in my box. I searched for this sweater on the internet and when I found a picture of it, I was not too excited. In fact, I disliked it very much! But then I tried it on. Besides how comfortable and light it feels, I love the length in the front and the different length in the back. I love that it covers my big butt without making me look huge in front
