The Swiss Colony started over 80 years ago as a bulk cheese delivery enterprise in Wisconsin. They now sell cheese, meat, baked goods, candy, chocolates, nuts and snacks. I am a cheesecake addict and my favorite candy is Reese’s, so I was very excited to try the Cheesecake Made with Reese’s® Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. This cheesecake has a chocolate ganache top with nuggets of Reese’s ®Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups blended into the velvety cheesecake. It costs $34.95.
I hosted a bachelorette party for a friend of mine at my apartment and word got out that I would be serving this mouthwatering cheesecake. Everyone was so eager to try it. I was worried that I might not have enough, because it is much thinner than cheesecake you would order at a restaurant. But this cheesecake is so rich that you only need a small piece. The ladies loved it and it disappeared quickly! It tastes just like a peanut butter cup. The crust was perfect and the cheesecake itself was the perfect amount of creamy. I would recommend letting it sit out for a bit before serving, to allow the chocolate ganache time to soften a little.
Delivery is very quick and the package arrived cold. It did sit outside my door for some time because I was at work, and was still chilled when I arrived home. It was very carefully packaged and looked perfect!
The Swiss Colony has so many yummy food items, you have to check them out for yourself. Bakery items, gift baskets and assortments are great for any occasion! I know that my co-workers love receiving them at the office. Clients send them as Thank Yous during the holidays for all the work we do for them. You can request a free catalog here.
