Jewelry trends are constantly changing, which is good for me because my taste in jewelry is always changing. A few years ago I was into chunky and blingy jewelry. Now I prefer delicate and simple gold pieces. Every year the largest jewelry show in the nation, JCK Las Vegas, showcases the latest in fine and fashion jewelry from over 2,400 designers and brands. JCK is North America’s most comprehensive and innovative jewelry destination. Here are the top 5 trends that emerged from the industry leader’s show.
Exotic Journey
Exotic Journey is exactly what it sounds like: warm yellow golds mixed with gemstones set in patterns to take you on a global adventure. This bracelet which resembles a feather is absolutely stunning and is exotic yet delicate.
Geometrics
This trend is one that reappears over time and features bold cutouts with heavy use of metals and oversized gemstones. While not my favorite of the trends, I can definitely see myself wearing this bracelet.
Modern Pearls
You can never go wrong with pearls. They are timeless! But it’s always fun to put a modern twist on a classic piece. The earrings pictured below are incredible and I can see them being worn on the red carpet by a celebrity.
Mixed Metals
Gone are the days where you can’t wear gold and silver together. Add a hammered matte finish and you have a top trend of the year! I love pendant necklaces such as this one.
Industrial Arts
Bar necklaces are very popular right now, and this necklace ups the ante with it’s black background. Industrial Arts features dark metals, black diamonds, matte finishes and chainmail. This is my favorite piece!
Brands featured at the show include Alex and Ani, Pandora, Effy, Erica Courtney, Kirk Kara, Simon G., Tacori, Forevermark, Scott Kay, Belle Etoile, Charriol, Fossil, LeVian, Swarovski, and Tous. Which trend from JCK Las Vegas is your favorite? Did you discover something new?
