Last month I got to try out an awesome food subscription box called Try The World. Try The World is not your typical subscription service. It allows you to try gourmet food from a different country that you can’t find in your local grocery store. It costs $39 per box, which you receive every 2 months. You can save up to 15% off by subscribing for 6 months or a year at a time. Your first box is the Paris, France box. This month I received the Venice box.
Here is everything I received in my Venice box:
Urbani Tartufi Red Pesto and Truffles
Leone Pastiglie (pastille candy)
Mogi Coffee
Venchi Torroncini (nougat)
Perugina Limoncello Chocolate Bar
Pastificio Dei Campi Pasta
Mystery Treat! (My mystery treat was Melata di Bosco Waldhonig Forest Honeydew)
Because these items are foreign, it is difficult to find prices online. But to me the actual retail value does not matter. This is the kind of box you buy for the EXPERIENCE. Since you can’t really get these foods locally, it is a great way to experience a culture without having to travel! All of the items in my box were full size as well.
The Culture Guide that is included contains great information that will heighten your Venetian experience, such as a music playlist, Italian movies, recipes, and a little background on the carnivals of Venice. Try The World is perfect for anyone looking to immerse themselves in a different culture, or anyone looking for a great date night! This box would be the perfect tool in helping two people have a little adventure while staying at home.
This is one of my favorite subscription boxes to open. All the items are new and exciting. I love that many of items can be paired together. I definitely plan on using the pesto and truffle sauce with the pasta. And why not enjoy a cup of coffee with some chocolate or candy for dessert? How cute is that coffee canister, by the way.
