DailyLook #3 Review – September 2015
DailyLook is a monthly styling service that is more one the high-end side of fashion. The styling fee is $40 per month, which is then applied to your order if you decide to keep some items. Keep what you like, return what you don’t. Pay only for what you keep. It’s just like Stitch Fix, except the style of clothing is a little different. Each box contains 7-11 exclusively hand-selected items that will generally range from $75-$350.
I had not been too happy with the overall style of my first 2 boxes, so I took a break. I decided to start my subscription again and requested a new stylist. The difference in styles was amazing! I love my new stylist, Diane L.
DAILYLOOK KIMONO SLEEVE KNIT DRESS – $64.99 [Return]
This was the only item in my box that I truly disliked. This piece came off faster than I could put it on. The plunging neckline is not my style, and it doesn’t look good with a cami underneath. It is just too deep. And the material is that of a cotton t-shirt and sticks to my body. Luckily, the box only gets better from here.
EMBROIDERED FLORAL HI-LOW TOP – $44.99 [Return]
This shirt is one of my favorite colors to wear, blue, and has a really cute floral design. It is loose and comfortable, however it is basically a midriff shirt. I’m trying to hide that area, not show it off! But I love the general style of this shirt.
CIRCUS BY SAM EDELMAN GEMMA BOOTIES – $119.99 [Return]
There were love at first sight. But something really disappointing happened. They sent the wrong size. 🙁 I am a 9.5 and it says that right in my profile. They sent me a size 8.5. Luckily, I found these for sale by for only $49.99 and I think I’m going to snag them. These are awesome! I managed to wiggle my foot in one boot after much effort, and these are super sturdy! I could tell right away they are quality boots.
SIX CRISP DAYS SCUBA MOTO JACKET – $97.99 [Return]
Another piece that is great in theory, but the fit wasn’t right. It was really short at the waist. However, I love, love, love the color and the styles. I am so into side zippers right now.
SPUN NATIVE FADE SCARF – $53.99 [Return]
This is one I wish I could keep. I’m starting to regret sending it back. But you should see my collection of scarves. I couldn’t justify spending over $50 on it. But I love the color combination and the pattern.
RAILS BROOKE BUTTON DOWN TUNIC DRESS – $147.99 [Return]
Being a country girl at heart, I wanted this to work so badly! I love the plaid pattern and that it is longer in back. But the bottom button in the front sat just at the wrong place and you can see everything going on down there, if you know what I mean. I loved the material, it was so comfortable. I thought the sleeve length was perfect too.
DENZEL HIGH LOW KNIT SWEATER – $49.99 [Keep]
Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! My favorite piece in the whole box and it is long enough and it fits! I’m obsessed with navy and sweaters. I am easy to please. This is my new favorite thing to wear.
