I am not a member of the military. I did not grow up as a military “brat.” But the men and women of our military have a special place in my heart. Supporting our troops is something that is very important to me. My great uncle earned a Silver Star as a paratrooper in World War II. I have had cousins in every branch of the military. I have dated several soldiers. Some of my closest friends are military, both active and inactive duty. I am a donating member of the USO. I spend hours watching “welcome home” videos and sobbing. I think you get it. So when an opportunity presents itself to support our military, I will most likely take it. I was excited to learn that I can support our troops just by purchasing wine!
Straight from the Napa Valley area, CK Mondavi is the only American made/grown wine in the “supermarket wine under $10” category. CK Mondavi wine is sold nationwide in every US state. It’s pretty delicious for an affordable wine. I tried the Chardonnay at Easter and drank it right up. It was unlike other Chardonnay’s I have tasted. It had a distinct oak flavor that was quite pleasant.
Established in the 1940s, CK Mondavi remains a family-owned business that has thrived for four generations to produce fine wines.
CK Mondavi is run by the legendary Napa Valley wine icon, Peter Mondavi Sr., a World War II veteran.
A percentage of each bottle sold between May and August is donated to Intrepid Fallen Heroes (up to $50,00). Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF) is an organization that supports the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families. Funded entirely by public donations, IFHF serves U.S. military personnel wounded or killed in service to our nation and their families. For more information, visit www.fallenheroesfund.org.
Please comment below to share your own story about supporting veterans and/or American-made products. I will select ONE reader to be entered into CK Mondavi’s grand prize drawing by May 15. The grand prize is a $500 donation to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund in the winner’s name!
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
