I love washing dishes by hand. When it was my turn to do the dishes a kid, I would cram everything in the dishwasher that was humanly possible, in hopes that I wouldn’t have to wash anything by hand. But there was always the dreaded pot or pan with caked on grease and grime that my mom made me wash by hand. Yuck. Now, as an adult, I wash more by hand than goes into the dishwasher, or pre-wash items, because I feel more in control of how clean they will be. The point of this story is that my hands spend a lot of time in hot water with the scrubber and dish soap, and I hate how dry my hands feel afterwards.
