Stitch Fix #9 Review + Giveaway
What is Stitch Fix? It’s pretty simple. Stitch Fix is a monthly subscription styling service. It costs $20 per box, which covers the styling fee. You try on the clothes, keep the ones you like, return the ones you don’t. Pay for the items you keep and the $20 styling fee gets applied to that cost. Easy, right?! You can sign up here.
Your Stitch Fix stylist includes a styling card to show how you can wear each item, and a personalized note just for you.
I was shocked to see that I had a different stylist for this fix. Brookelyn has been with me for the majority of my 9 fixes. This time I had Mayte. I did not indicate that I wanted a new stylist and I kept everything in my last fix. But Mayte knocked it out of the park!
Market & Spruce Chaplin Lined Hooded Anorak Jacket – $94 [Return]
Sometimes all the stars in the universe align two months too late. I wish you could hear me whining like a baby over here. “But maybe it’s ok that I have 2 jackets just like this.” “This one fits better.” “This one is a slightly different green.” Unfortunately, I bought a very similar jacket on Jane.com and it is too late to return it. All the regrets! I really can’t justify keeping this jacket, so it has to go back. Sad day.
I love the lining in this jacket. So fun! I’ve decided Stitch Fix likes fun items. Every jacket I have seen has some kind of patterned lining.
Oh by the way, see those boots I’m wearing? Phenomenal! Stylish yet heavy duty! I haven’t owned winter boots in years. Probably since my mother bought me boots as a child. I have those fake uggs that get your feet all wet. I saw these beauties and I had to have them! These are the Sorel Joan of Arctic Snow Boots and they retail for $170 on Zappos.
Papermoon Wigan Shoulder Zip Knit Top – $48 [Keep]
I had pinned this shirt on Pinterest and was really happy to see it included in my fix! I love the zipper detail. A little edgy yet comfortable and casual.
Honey Belle Leandro Plaid Print Split Neck Top – $44 [Return]
I can’t get enough plaid! I love this shirt and I was really looking forward to it because I don’t have any navy plaid and navy is my go-to color. However, the sleeves were too tight in the upper arm area, so I had to send it back.
Kut From the Kloth Cai Bootcut Jeans – $88 [Keep]
Kut From the Kloth jeans are my new most favorite thing every. Not only are they soft and stretch to my curves, but they are great quality! I’m obsessed!
I was expecting these bootcut jeans to be regular length, but they seemed tall. Fine by me! I love wearing big boots and heels and these are perfect.
Pixley Dalila Faux Leather Lapel French Terry Vest – $68 [Keep]
When I first pulled this vest out of the box, I thought “meh.” It’s gray, which isn’t an exciting color. But I do love vests so I tried it on. *Cue angelic music* It is so soft! And I love how it lays when it is unzipped. But it also looks great zipped up.
I am definitely not one for geometric patterns, but because it is just the stitching and not colorblocked, it isn’t super distracting in person. I didn’t even notice it at first. Definitely a keeper!
So that was my fix! What did you think?
